They were my escape, my solace, my companions in the darkness.

But the day came when they weren't enough. That's when I started taking the girls.

I've seen what he did to the others. How can I believe him when he says he won't hurt me?
But there's more to him than darkness. There's a terrible sadness.
And strange as it sounds, a kind of beauty.
I wonder if I can ever make him see himself the way I do?

I have read my fair share of dark romances. I felt this one wasn't really dark. Like on the lower end of the scale. Yea hes a serial killer and all, it just skims the surface and doesn't get all gory and detailed on you. I think I went into the book expecting more than what was there. 

This is still a good read. I think it could have really used more of the romance. It came across as just being in the mind of a killer vs a romance growing between a couple.

Colin.. For some strange reason I did like his character! Him and his friend Landon. I think I would read a book on Landon because I have more questions I would want answers to. 

The end.. just no. for me it didn't work and it didn't make sense. I rated this book a 3. I think falling in the middle is a perfect rating and I an still confused by this book and not sure I expressed my review.
