Ainsley came into my life in a flurry of vibrant colors, lighting my world up when all seemed lost.
It wasn’t our quiet nights by the creek or stolen kisses surrounded by a sea of cotton that saved me.
It was her.
She was my comfort when life threw one ugly tragedy after another at me.
Until she dealt me the greatest blow.
I picked up this book when it was on sale as a freebie and well the cover intrigued me. I am so happy I did. This is an author I want to read more of.
So in this book we have Ainsley and Adrian. Their story from start to the end brought out emotion in me reading. I has parts that made me cry and other parts I smiled and laughed. I truly enjoy a good book that makes the emotion in the reader come out.
We start their journey at 8 years old. I absolutely was thrilled when I started reading. The friendships and family.. it just made such a good story to read. I felt I really know the characters.
We get to the good ole teen years. Well you can imagine as teens that they all change in their own ways. And then tragedy strikes... Everything changes... This part of the book broke me! I mean big, fat, ugly, hiccupy tears. I can get through it right? They can get through it?
"Let's pretend we are just a boy and girl in love. That our lives aren't encompassed in overwhelming sorrow and heartbreak. That we aren't swimming in a never-ending sea of grief. Please let me have this. This moment of beautiful in all this ugly."
I so loved this book. Straight to the ending I had all the feels I so love when reading. I would totally recommend this book to anyone who loves a good second chance romance or just a good emotional romance. The story is a beautiful one to read, even if it tears ya up a bit in the process.
This book deserves all 5 stars I gave it.
